DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFACTOR brings together the leading osteosarcoma researchers, clinicians, patient families, osteosarcoma survivors, patients, and bereaved parents to Make it Better (MIB) for those battling this disease.\nThis work belongs to all of us.\n‍\nCollaboration at FACTOR happens with all interested parties to advance treatments and improve outcomes for patients with osteosarcoma. Specifically to:\n\n• Significantly improve osteosarcoma awareness and patient outcomes through a collaborative disease management approach, clinical trials and dedicated osteosarcoma research.\n• Brainstorm on challenges and develop collaborative solutions to fast-track improvements for osteosarcoma.\n• Create a symbiotic bridge between the osteosarcoma medical and patient community to overcome challenges and create solutions.\n• Evaluate funding needs for research and provide awareness for worthy initiatives and funding solutions.\n• A dedicated forum to annually review progress on various osteosarcoma disease management initiatives.\nStarted in 2017, the annual MIB Agents FACTOR conference brings together the leading researchers, clinicians, and surgeons, along with patient families and OsteoWarriors (survivors, patients, and siblings of OsteoWarriors and OsteoAngels) to Make It Better for those battling this disease. FACTOR stands for Funding, Awareness, Collaboration, Trials, Osteosarcoma, and Research.
