Medicinal Marijuana and Children

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) currently opposes the use of marijuana in patients up to 21 years of age. The AAP strongly supports research on cannabinoids and acknowledges that medical marijuana may be a consideration for “children with life-limiting or severely debilitating conditions and for whom current therapies are inadequate.”
