Dental Developmental Anomalies in Childhood Cancer Survivors

Treatments combining chemotherapy and radiotherapy increase the risk of certain dental developmental anomalies (DDA). Treatment that combines chemotherapy and radiotherapy appears to increase the risk of DDA, and radiation to the head and neck increases the risk of DDA. Younger patients are also at higher risk of developing malformed teeth.
