Self-Control, Anxiety, and Loneliness in Siblings of Children With Cancer

Studying 62 healthy siblings of children with cancer, higher anxiety and loneliness were linked to age, sex, and family rank, while greater self-control reduced distress. Results support stress–coping theory and highlight the importance of teaching coping skills.
