Why should my organization participate in Foundation Match?

For childhood cancer research, where every dollar and every discovery
counts, collaboration isn’t just beneficial—it’s essential. Philanthropic
funding to continue critical research is vital to the acceleration of research,
clinical trials, and novel therapies. By joining Foundation Match, your
organization can amplify its reach, leverage shared infrastructure, and
accelerate progress toward lifesaving breakthroughs for children and
families who need them most.

Funding collaboration among non-profit research funders offers several key benefits:
● Enhanced information and resource

Don’t have a scientific review process? Pool funds with a partner organization that does; to leverage existing infrastructure

● Better coordination and reduced duplication

Streamlining efforts helps investigators, reviewers, and staff save time – so more grants can be awarded with less effort and researchers can dedicate more energy to the lifesaving work our
children depend on.

● Expanded outreach and messaging

Promote funding opportunities through the broader networks of your
collaborative partners for greater visibility.

● Broader reach and service coverage

Attract a wider and more diverse applicant pool by combining outreach strategies and accessing new geographies.

● Greater continuity and program quality

Collaboration enables more support for research projects by pooling
expertise and resources – two organizations are more effective than
one.

● Help our limited, loving dollars go further

Maximize the impact of every dollar through partnerships with other
organizations thereby multiplying the impact of collective support.
