Poet and Childhood Cancer Advocate

Whittney Jones is a published poet and former Illinois Poetry Ambassador selected by State Poet Laureate Angela Jackson. After her daughter, London “Indy” Jones, was diagnosed with Pleuropulmonary Blastoma Type 3, Whittney learned she was a carrier of the DICER1 genetic mutation. Since Indy’s passing in 2020, Whittney has used art and storytelling to raise awareness of childhood cancer and rare genetic conditions, honoring her daughter’s legacy through advocacy.

Jen Ivanovich, MS, CGC

Cancer Genetic Counselor, Indiana University & IU Health

Jen Ivanovich is a cancer genetic counselor caring for children and young adults diagnosed with cancer. She also serves as Director of Patient Advocacy and Research Partnerships for the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at Indiana University. A proud CAC2 individual member, Jen is deeply committed to partnering with families and advancing compassionate, informed care for children with cancer.
